The cruise-ship season success is being celebrated -- but there's concern next season could hit an iceberg

The cruise-ship season success is being celebrated -- but there's concern next season could hit an iceberg

    26 April 2024
Ships have brought in 350-thousand visitors, with an estimated value of 540-million dollars.

However, a 20-percent decline in port visits is projected for next season, as rising costs bite the market.

Cruise Association Chief Executive, Jacqui Lloyd says says there are multiple issues at play.

She says geopolitical reasons don't help -- with issues in the Red Sea, and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine all contributing.
