    Cannes Film Festival 2024 red carpet: Selena Gomez, Anya Taylor-Joy, Cate Blanchett, Barry Keohgan and more

    Unlike the Oscars or Golden Globes where most of the action happens in one night, the Cannes Film Festival is a marathon of events — and a buffet of fashion.


    The Cannes Film Festival is all about movies, but with so many screenings, it's also about red carpet glamour. 

    Held in southern France, the festival kicked off a week ago and won't wrap up until the weekend. 

    Unlike the Oscars or Golden Globes, where most of the action happens in one night, the Cannes Film Festival is a marathon of events. 

    So far it's included the screenings of the latest Mad Max film, Bird, Emilia Pérez and Megalopolis.

    And each screening comes with its own red carpet event. 

    Here's a quick squiz at just a handful of the looks we've seen over the past week:

    Gerwig is the jury president for this year's festival, which means she's had a few outfits to sort out.
