The major parties are using the other's campaign cash splash to persuade would-be donors to cough up

Both National and Labour have sent an email to supporters, stoking fear about the advertising spending of their competitor.

Labour launched an attack on National's 300-thousand dollars declared from wealthy donors in past days -- warning they're using it to bombard Kiwis with billboards and online ads.

Meanwhile National's stressed Labour's hefty taxpayer-funded war chest, due to its 63 MPs -- claiming they're doing all they can to shovel the funds out the door.

Both emails finish with a plea for donations, to counter the campaign of the other.
