    Two resignations from Hastings District Council will trigger a postal by-election in the district


    Heretaunga Ward councillor Ann Redstone has resigned after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease -- and Takitimu Maori Ward councillor Renata Nepe has resigned, saying his now full-time employment is impacting council responsibilities.

    Nominations for the two positions open on February 29.
