    A new Covid vaccine to combat newer strains will be ready early next month


    The XBB jab will be available from March 7, for those aged 30 and over, 16-year-olds and over who are pregnant, and people aged 12 and over who are at particular risk.

    Health NZ's Doctor Nick Chamberlain says jabs need to be given at least six months apart - and the same period after being infected.

    They can be given immediately to unvaccinated eligible people.
