Sheep and goat milk farmers are being left with few options as the sector grinds to a halt

The sector's in shock as sheep milk company Maui Milk told its Waikato farmers to stop milking due to a lack of demand last week - now the goat milk industry is facing similar woes.

Federated Farmers Goats Chair Michael Woodward says farmers are hoping for a rebound.

He says it'll come, but after a lot of pain as farmers can't do much with the current size of their farms.
