Some BMW vehicles have been hit with a recall notice over brake pedal problems

Some BMW vehicles have been hit with a recall notice over brake pedal problems

BMW NZ confirms the nine locally sold models affected are -- the 2022 and 2023 iX1, X5, X6, X7s, and XM SUVs, as well as the 2 Series, 3 Series, and 7 Series sedans.

Stuff reports the issue regards electronics that can result in inconsistent brake pedals and temporarily disabling of ABS.

The company says there are no known accidents or injuries as a result of the fault and will cover the costs of repair.
