Passengers say a Jetstar plane was barrelling down a Melbourne runway before the pilot slammed on the brakes as it was taking off

Passengers say a Jetstar plane was barrelling down a Melbourne runway before the pilot slammed on the brakes as it was taking off

It's understood the flight to Launceston was forced to abort take off yesterday after a latch leading to the plane's communication system was left open.

Jetstar says the Airbus A320 was travelling at low speed before the pilot made the call to halt proceedings... and Jetstar says the latch if left open would not have impacted the safety of the flight 03-17-24 1253
