Testosterone gel will be fully funded by Pharmac from today

The treatment is used by people with low levels of the hormone, and is rubbed on the skin to increase their testosterone levels.

Pharmac spokesman Dr David Hughes, says a wide range of people will benefit from open access to the gel, where other forms of testosterone aren't appropriate.
