Domestic airfares have been ranked New Zealand's least competitive market; trailing supermarkets, banks and fuel companies

The latest Horizon Research survey asked people which markets they believe provide fair services and prices.

Three quarters of respondents consider the domestic aviation market to be the least competitive; trailing supermarkets, banks and fuel companies.

Airports say the survey backs their claims Air New Zealand's using its market dominance to push up prices.

Nearly all sectors in the survey have polled badly, with KiwiSaver found to be the most competitive.
