Dame Lisa Carrington's pinpointed what continues to drive her as she paddles towards a fourth Olympics

Dame Lisa Carrington's pinpointed what continues to drive her as she paddles towards a fourth Olympics

The five-time gold medallist heads a group of six Kiwi women's canoe sprinters named for the upcoming Games in Paris.

Along with seven total Olympic medals - Carrington's list of accolades includes a remarkable 15 world titles - but the 34-year-old says it's no longer just gold that motivates her.

Carrington's locked in for three classes - the K1, the K2 with Alicia Hoskin - and the K4.

Aimee Fisher makes her Olympic return in the K1 and K2 - teaming up with Dunedin newcomer Lucy Matahaere.

Olivia Brett and Tara Vaughan round out the K4 combination - alongside Carrington and Hoskin.
