Witnesses to a fatal shooting in Auckland's Ponsonby on Sunday night say the killer was refused entry to a local bar before it happened

Witnesses to a fatal shooting in Auckland's Ponsonby on Sunday night say the killer was refused entry to a local bar before it happened

Claudius Ah Loe , the man whose security workers were on the door at Chapel Bar, says the offender Hone Kay-Selwyn was glassy eyed and acting strange as he tried to get in.

The bouncers kept an eye on Kay-Selwyn as he walked away and saw him open fire.

Bouncers tried their best to help victim Robert Sidney Horne by performing CPR before he died.

Kay-Selwyn, a Killer Beez member, was found dead at a property near Taupo yesterday following an extensive manhunt.

Police are treating his death as unexplained.
