A railway road east of Hamilton will reopen next year, after being closed for three years

A railway road east of Hamilton will reopen next year, after being closed for three years

KiwiRail and NZTA have agreed on a package of improvements to make the State Highway 1B road and rail crossing at Puketaha function safely.

The tracks were damaged by a truck in 2022.

Work to raise the level of Telephone Road and improve road marking will begin in January - and it'll reopen in the first half of 2025.
