Three men have been knighted in today's King's Birthday and Coronation Honours List -- from the worlds of law, sport, and Maori culture

Former All Blacks and Black Ferns coach, Sir Wayne Smith, has led both men's and women's sides to Rugby World Cup victory in recent times.

The Honourable Sir Stephen Kos was a High Court Judge from 2011 to 2015 and a Court of Appeal Judge from 2015 before he was appointed a Supreme Court Justice in 2022.

And Sir Selwyn Parata has served decades as chairs of multiple boards, including as head of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou.
