    Around six thousand planes were affected globally over the weekend, with most requiring a quick software update.

    Both Air New Zealand and Jetstar returned to normal operations yesterday, after more than 100 flights between them were cancelled.

    Board of Airline Representatives Executive Director Cath O'Brien says the industry will keep an eye on issues like this.

    She says our Civil Aviation Authority and other agencies are agencies are focused on the impacts of solar radiation.
