Open Justice reports a landmark Supreme Court ruling today recognises family carers as homeworkers - entitled to minimum wage.
The case was brought by Christine Fleming and Peter Humphreys, who each care for a severely disabled adult child.
The Court has found family carers work for at least some of the time they care for their family member.
Humphreys says the decision makes it clear - the Government relies on family carers for services it would otherwise need to provide.
