The Secondary Principals' Association is welcoming, seeing any potential changes to NCEA

The Secondary Principals' Association is welcoming, seeing any potential changes to NCEA

The Government's considering a major decision, over the future of the country's main secondary school qualification.

It comes after a damning briefing in June, highlighted major problems around the credibility of NCEA.

Education Minister Erica Stanford, has confirmed scrapping level one, remains an option.

Association President Louise Anaru, says any new qualification must serve all learners.

She says a review is to be expected for any national qualification, to ensure improvements are made.
