Police issued more than 70 infringement notices and ordered multiple cars off the road during an anti-social road user event in Auckland last night

More than 2,500 drivers were breath tested, with more than 15 recording excess breath alcohol levels.

Officers also sent 71 vehicles for inspection, issued 33 green stickers, six pink stickers and impounded five vehicles.

Inspector Regan James says they are now working to identify further vehicles and drivers who were involved, and take enforcement action where possible.
