New Zealand's rapidly aging population could be at risk in the future - if action isn't taken

The Retirement Commission's income policy review has found a longer-term political focus is needed.
It makes 12 recommendations, including increasing government contributions to people on low incomes, and the removal of unnecessary KiwiSaver exclusions for people over 65.
New Zealand Council of Christian Social Services CEO Alicia Sudden says if things don't change, older people will continue to struggle,
She says we'll see more and more people who can't survive on superannuation alone - due to things like high rents and rates costs.
