A further hit for dairy farmers today with the news mycoplasma bovis has been found in the Waikato

Last week, MPI officials informed politicians the focus may have to be changed from eradicating the disease to containing it.

Waikato Federated Farmers President Andrew McGiven says he's expecting the disease to spread further with how often cattle are moved around.

McGiven says there will be a lot of cows lost if eradication is determined the best method moving forward.
