A missed opportunity is how organisers have described the cancellation of a Mycoplasma bovis event

The seminar was meant to be held at the Waikato A&P show today and aimed at preparing farmers for the lasting effects of the disease.
A large crowd was expected but fewer than 100 tickets were sold leading to the cancellation of the event.
The disease outbreak is under control following its arrival in March.
Cara Ferris of Showing Waikato understands there might be barriers in getting to such events, but she says farmers shouldn't think the worst is over.
She believes farmers might not be aware of the wider risks.
