The Automobile Association and its members are welcoming the trial of two high-tech speed cameras in Auckland

The Government's announced a year trial of "point to point" cameras in Auckland's Waterview Tunnel and Southern Motorway - which calculate the average speed of a vehicle.
AA Principal Adviser for Regulations Mark Stockdale says they've been very successful in Australia and the UK.
He says it good idea to trial them in New Zealand to see whether we get the same safety benefits as other countries.
A recent survey found the majority of AA members supported the trial.
