Wellington's mayor says whoever's been bank rolling the Shelly Bay legal action must have deep pockets

Enterprise Miramar has twice, taken a proposed development at the bay to court.

Financial statements show they've been given 250-thousand-dollars in donations to help fund their cause.

But the group's quiet on who that money's come from.

Justin Lester says the city council has helped established a number of Business Improvement Districts around the city, which supports groups like Enterprise Miramar.

He's also not sure where the donations are coming from, but says it must be someone with deep pockets.
