An eleventh hour invite to the upcoming athletics World Championships has come too late for Nick Willis

An eleventh hour invite to the upcoming athletics World Championships has come too late for Nick Willis

The middle distance runner missed out on initial selection for the 1500 metre event, but has received a late invitation from the IAAF along with 130 other athletes.

Willis has declined the invitation and opted to make the most of a break instead.

Track athletes Zoe Hobbs and Camille Buscomb who are already in Doha for the 100 and 10,000 metres respectively, have received additional invites into the 200 metres and 5000.
