A call for Wellington's new mayor to approach the Shelly Bay development with an open mind

After two years of legal battles, independent commissioners have granted resource consent for the project, which includes more than 300 homes.
New mayor Andy Foster voted against the development as it currently stands under the previous council.
But, developer Ian Cassels says it's the mayor's responsibility to lead progress for Wellington.
He says you can't lead the city with a negative attitude towards projects that will see houses built.
