Tim Macindoe's Members' Bill would see convicted killers ineligible for parole unless they lead police to a body.
President of the Criminal Bar Association, Len Anderson QC, says it may resonate with the public... but it's unnecessary.
He says if somebody admits they killed someone, but doesn't disclose where the body is, that shows a lack of remorse and they'd be unlikely to get parole anyway.
Anderson says it would provide a punishment to those who are wrongfully convicted.
