A reminder of the hazards that stop/go workers face

A reminder of the hazards that stop/go workers face

Two operators reported 'near-misses' just before Christmas, of cars speeding through or getting too close to work sites.

The Transport Agency's Northland System Manager, Jacqui Hori-Hoult, says it's important to stick to the speed limits.

She says she understands the frustration of being in a hurry - but the limits are there to keep everyone safe.

Hori-Hoult says it's not only speed that's a hazard for them.

In a recent incident, she says a man got out of his vehicle and yelled at an operator.
