A warning for boaties to keep an eye on weather conditions after a pair was rescued twice in just a few days

It's been revealed the two people rescued from their yacht in the Bay of Plenty yesterday were also rescued in a separate incident on Sunday night.
Distress calls came from the yacht early yesterday morning, reporting it had lost its anchor completely and was hitting rocks.
Coastguard Northern Region duty officer Luke McCarthy says an anchor could break due to poor maintenance.
He says tough conditions put ship equipment under a lot of stress, and it becomes fatigued.
