People driven to bankruptcy by an unlicensed builder are criticising his light sentence

56-year-old Rodney Day has been given seven months home detention and 150 hours community work in the Christchurch District Court - after pleading guilty to 15 charges of deception and forgery.
Milo Homes owner Matt McFarlane says hiring Day cost him everything, and it's astonishing he got off so lightly.
He says he's extremely disappointed someone wasn't sent to jail for crimes that were extraordinary.
