The Minister for Children says Oranga Tamariki has a way to go

The government agency's in the spotlight, after a damning report by Whanau Ora on the removal of a newborn baby from its mother last year.

Tracey Martin says she's pleased to have the recommendations.

She says as she's going through the recommendations of this review, she can confidently start ticking off areas where the Government's already working down that pathway.

Martin says the way forward is to partner with Iwi and Hapu... and get closer to the ground for prevention and early intervention.
