Penrith utility Tyrone May has been given the green light to play in Saturday's trial against Wests Tigers despite being banned for five NRL games

Penrith utility Tyrone May has been given the green light to play in Saturday's trial against Wests Tigers despite being banned for five NRL games

It will be the first time May has played a rugby league game since being stood down under the league's controversial no-fault stand-down policy last March.

He narrowly avoided jail time last month after pleading guilty to four counts of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.

The NRL later handed May an additional five-game ban, which remarkably doesn't apply to pre-season matches.
