The Southerners were aware of the outbreak prior to their game with the Brumbies in Canberra last weekend and any players affected by the illness were kept away from the team.
All players and staff are immune to Mumps either through vaccination or previous exposure.
The risk of contamination to players' is deemed low, given Mumps is spread mainly through sharing of contaminated saliva droplets and utensils such as water bottles weren't shared with the Brumbies.
The Highlanders are continuing to closely monitor the playing group and management.
