    Six hundred and fifty paua saved in an an MPI bust in Taranaki .... are safely back in the ocean


    The illegally caught kaimoana were found by fishery officers carrying out compliance checks all last week.

    One arrest was made and six people may face prosecution.

    Compliance manager Andre Espinoza says people who take illegal paua should know it could land them with instant fines, prosecution or vehicle seizures.
