Name suppression has lapsed for 40-year-old Damelza Hohipa, who's accused of murdering Davis Phillips in Taita on January 26th.
Hohipa pleaded not guilty to murder in the High Court in Wellington this morning.
A trial date's been set for February next year.
Loved ones of Davis Phillips packed the courtroom's public gallery, wearing T-shirts with photos of the 56-year-old.
A 39-year-old man also appeared in the dock and made no plea to a charge of injuring Phillips with grievous bodily harm.
