Tournament organisers faced the option of playing behind closed doors or delaying it until later in the year - they've chosen the latter option.
Shaping the decision is the Italian federation's desire to retain the revenue of a lucrative home match, otherwise they would've missed out on gate receipts for a 73,000 sell-out.
Ireland's match with Italy in Dublin on Saturday was also called off on public health grounds.
