New research finds the over 50 demographic has nearly half the country's disposable income, and outspends millennials.
But less than two per cent of marketing briefs in New Zealand, specifically target the over-50s.
Futurist Rose Herceg says marketers have lost touch with who's buying products.
She says this generation is cashed up... and 60-year-olds are ready to spend their money.
