Lime E-scooters could be coming to Tauranga

Council staff have been given the green light to negotiate a six-month Tauranga trial with Lime NZ.

Nic Johanson, who leads Tauranga City Council's infrastructure group, says they're aiming to put some controls around things like operating speeds, parked scooters blocking the footpath, and late night use in downtown areas.

Lime Scooters were pulled from Auckland streets last December, after failing to meet safety standards.
