Medical centres may face challenges to stay open if coronavirus impacts staffing

The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners has welcomed the 500-million-dollar extra health funding in the government's 12.1-billion-dollar business continuity package.
College president Dr Samantha Murton says the funding will help cover staffing issues.
She says extra staff could include army medics, or medical students doing backline work - and DHBs will have staff that can be distributed into different teams.
Murton says you wouldn't want retired doctors in the frontline, but they could deal with the "business as usual" stuff.
