A lack of evidence for allegations a Police officer punched a woman in the face

The Napier woman was arrested last April after crashing her car - then refusing a breath or blood test.
The Independent Police Conduct Authority has concluded the injuries occurred when the officer restrained the woman in the police car, after she kicked him in the face.
Authority Chair, Judge Colin Doherty says the force was a justified and proportionate in the circumstances.
