Contactless debit fees are being waived by Westpac to support businesses affected by Covid-19
21 March 2020
The fees will be waived for six months as demand for contactless services grows from both consumers and businesses.
Westpac NZ General Manager of Experience Hub, Karen Silk, says it's relief package includes options such as a temporary overdraft facility, suspension of principal loan payments for up to three months, and deferred payment on business credit cards.
She says they are still looking at other ways to help it's customers and will be making further announcements soon.
