World Rugby chairman Sir Bill Beaumont believes the coronavirus pandemic could help the sport create a new international calendar

The sport's governing body this week gave 166-million dollars in funding to help struggling unions negotiate 2020, where minimal or no international rugby is expected to be played.
Beaumont told BBC Radio he's been encouraged by the togetherness between rugby nations during this difficult time, adding a variation of the Nations Cup will likely come back on the table when the sport resumes.
The Nations Cup, a competition idea involving the Six Nations and Rugby Championship with promotion and relegation, was scrapped last year after failing to garner enough support.
