Australia's rugby players are poised to agree to a 60 per cent pay cut for six months as a result of covid-19
20 April 2020
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that will allow the governing body to slash its wage bill by more than 80 per cent between April and September after government payments are factored in.
The agreement's expected to bring to an end almost four weeks of negotiations between Rugby Australia and the players' association.
Rugby will be among the last Australian codes to finalise its player pay cuts, with the NRL and AFL settling on respective 71 and 50 per cent sacrifices.
