Cancer operations have ramped back up in recent weeks after a slow down at the beginning of lockdown

More than 30 thousand elective procedures, clinics and operations have been deferred on the back on the Covid-19 response.
Cancer Society medical director Dr Chris Jackson says early in the lockdown surgeries reduced as people got to grips with what could be done safely.
He says they also had to consider the impacts of covid-19 on people in the post operative state.
Jackson says in the past few weeks cancer surgeries have increased.
