Calls for New Zealanders to take Covid-19 alert level three seriously
24 April 2020
The country officially moves out of the level four lockdown on Tuesday next week.
Auckland University associate professor Siouxsie Wiles says people need to stay vigilant at level three - so the number of cases don't increase.
She says because the virus has a lag period, it takes a few weeks to see the impact.
She says if it spreads at alert level three - we will have to go back into lockdown to control the virus.
