    Two people have been arrested following a police pursuit in rural Marlborough


    The pair failed to stop for police on State Highway 63 near the Waihopai Valley Road turn off about 2.30 yesterday afternoon.

    Police abandoned the pursuit in Wairau Valley a short time later due to public safety concerns.

    Officers found the pair in farmland near St Arnaud about 6.30 last night, following an extensive search.
