League boss Alistair Dobson has declared nothing is off the table including a split innings format, which would each team have two innings of ten overs each.
It's thought the format would manufacture closer games and therefore keep fans intrigued.
Cricket Australia adopted a similar idea in its ODI format in 2010, but the concept only lasted a season.
BBL organisers are also considering giving free hits to batsmen following a wide.
