Potato prices rose a whopping 18-percent last month, to an all-time high of $2.51 per kilo

It was due to high demand and a shortage of potato pickers.
Large bottles of soft drink, capsicums and fresh eggs also got more expensive.
An average egg will now cost you 40 cents, compared to just 28 cents a decade ago.
