Dion Reynolds and Jessica O'Connor, 23, went tramping in the Kahurangi National Park 18 days ago but failed to make their expected return on May 15.
A St John spokeswoman says the pair only had minor injuries and an ambulance had met a helicopter to take them to Nelson Hospital.
A Nelson Hospital spokeswoman says both patients are in a stable condition.
