Five gang members and associates have been arrested in Northland as part of an operation targeting the manufacture of methamphetamine in the region

A number of search warrants were carried out in the Whangarei area yesterday morning uncovering four firearms - including a prohibited weapon.
A 29-year-old male Rebels gang member is facing multiple charges of manufacturing methamphetamine - while a 28-year-old female associate also faces numerous manufacturing and dealing charges.
Both are jointly charged with the unlawful possession of firearms.
A 39 year old male Head Hunters gang member and a 34 year old female face multiple charges relating to the conspiring to manufacture and dealing in methamphetamine.
All four were due to appear in the Whangarei District Court today.
