Agreement's been reached between Football Federation Australia and the A-League clubs over a season resumption in July.
But it's understood the players have been asked to take significant pay cuts to complete the season.
Former Socceroo and now football journalist Rob Cornthwaite told SBS the restructured pay deal hasn't gone down well.
The proposal to complete the season still needs sign-off from broadcaster Fox Sports.
